We barely use the printer yet after a few months it says its run out. May be cheaper to buy a new printer. Is this what HP has become?

Hello Sanjit I am sorry that this happened to you! The strategies to get full use of each cartridge involve your printing habits. Printing complicated designs or with specialty paper increases ink use. Turning off the printer saves ink from drying. It is always a good idea to check the ink levels when you insert a "new" cartridge to make sure it is full. If there is a problem you can quickly make an exchange. Staples is where I purchase my printer ink. They have a fair price and always have my ink in stock. I tried those ink refill companies once and boy that didn't work out at all. I only buy genuine HP ink.
