Hi Reham It is very unusual for a cartridge to run out on the same day of installation. It sounds like something is wrong with the cartridge. I'm sorry this event happened to you. I suggest you bring the cartridge back to Staples at www.staples.com/sbd/content/help/shipping/. The other suggestion I had was to clean the cartridge and then gently tap it with a towel under it. Hello Albert I understand you had trouble with your color cartridges. The cartridges are returnable thru www.hp.com/support/. Before you return it you can try to turn off the printer and restart it. Cartridges have lip on dispenser that prevents flow of ink into printer. Have tried multiple cartridges and different ink colors with no luck. Older cartridges did not have this issue.

Hi Christine Ink cartridges are designed to make the ink last. I will explain how they work and try to solve your problem. The dispenser prevents leaks. The most critical place is the copper contacts on the printhead. The ink dispenses from them. Ensure they are clean.
