Cartridges...just disappointed in the printer itself. I had an HP Office Jet 8610 and really liked it but it went on me so I got the HP Officejet Pro 8035 and it goes through ink like everything. I don't print anymore than I printed before and am constantly going for ink. HP sure knows how to do a person in.
