Not sure why but there's a color line going through everything color

Hello Mary Anne I am sorry for this happening to you. This is more likely to be the printer rather than the cartridges at fault. If the line is horizonal it is probably that the alignment is off (fixed by an alignment routine from the printer menu) or there are clogged inkjet nozzles in the printhead (fixed by cleaning the printhead). A vertical line indicates a paper feed problem. The stack of paper might be too tall slightly dirty or not perfectly straight. The rollers might need to be cleaned. (You can look up the procedure online.) If you think there was something wrong with the cartridges you can look into returning them. This ink was purchased for a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 purchased several months ago. Unfortunatly I have not yet installed the printer because I am unable to purchase replacement ink for all of the colors. I have one more to go (Cyan) before I will install the printer. No point in having a printer for which I cannot purchase replacement ink! If I'm unable to get the Cyan ink soon I will have to return the printer and purchase a different model for which ink is readily available.

Hello I am very sorry that you had this happen to you. I can understand if you are unhappy about this situation. There are shortages of the cartridges in some areas. This is due to a problem with one of the manufacturing lots of a couple colors and an increase in online orders during the holidays and the lockdowns. Supply hasn't been keeping up with demand. We are also experiencing shipping delays because the delivery companies are having a hard time keeping up with orders too. Mary HP Care hp.com/support
None of these cartridges worked. At first I thought it was my printer but I used another cartridge and it was ok. I guess you sent me defective ones.

Hi I am very sorry that your cartridges did not work. You are probably right about them being defective and I can understand why you rated this so low. Normally you would contact the seller when the merchandise you bought from them is faulty. Here is a link to the return policy: https://www.returnsandrefunds.com/Staples/Returns Mary HP Care hp.com/support
One of the new cartridges failed to work the printer did not recognize it as being an authentic HP cartridge which it was. I can understand HP not wanting anyone saving money on an aftermarket cartridge but when they are so cautious that their printers don't even recognize one of their own then they're cheating their customers.
