Much better product than the regular 62. XL provides much more usage. While it costs slightly more its worth it. You definitely get more usage for your money without having to replace it as often.

I printed 4 pages using colored ink and my cartridge was empty. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what. I'm thinking it's time for a new printer with better ink.

Hello Kristen Four pages should not deplete an entire ink cartridge. The only way that would happen is if the cartridge leaked. Did you print all photos? Photos can use a lot of ink. HP 62XL/62 Black High Yield and Tri-Color Standard Yield Ink Cartridge purchased at Staples has always been of excellent quality. I have made purchases at other places and found items look same in package but where fakes and my HP printer recognition of it was immediately.
