this is a top o the line ink in a very reliable container. No leaks here. Further it is designed to be easily removed and re-installed. Although this purchase was for a black high yield cartridge the same applies to HP's high end Color Ink Cartridges.
Over the years I've owned a lot of printers but more recently focusing in on HP. I love how easy it is to load and unload the ink cartridges in my Office Jet Pro 8600 Premium! A first class act!!! The printer works flawlessly!!!
I did not find the ink drying fast enough as it had when I did not use the High Yield. I had a project of 900 labels (300 on three different topics) They started smearing at #5 through #24 as they came out of the printer I could not grab them fast enough. I had to pull off and throw away about 178 out of 600 labels. I did salvage some very upsetting because I had just enough sheets to print my entire project of 900. I am not sure paying for High Yield is worth it. On my last topic a helper and myself had to grab each sheet fast to separate and let dry which took about 10 minutes.
Once I figured out how to open the printer and release the mechanism then I had to find out how to install the new ink cartridges for the first time. No help from the meager instructions received with the machine so ... on to the Internet and the fabulous Search method. Wallah I now knew how to operate the printer machine to change cartridges. No wait. Another release button had to be discovered - only my daughter knew this trick. By trial and error my new ink cartridges were installed and I was able to print copies once again.
These are great ink cartridges and the last long. They are very visible and don't spear. With three printers I use a lot for both professional and personal reasons.
HP printer cartridges in an HP printer -- it has always worked well. And it better at the price they charge! I always look for a coupon when I start to need a new cartridge....
