I really like the HP 950 XL/951 high yield black and standard C/M/Y color ink cartridges combo pack. The black XL ink lasts for a long time. The colored ink cartridges are great because you may only have to change one color and then a month later the second or third. You can use them separately. The savings in price is good and they are very easy to load and change in my HP printer. When I had trouble loading the printer the HP service representative said to send in the ink cartridges and they would reimburse me free.

The colors are not as vivid as on the screen. The colors come out flat/dull. I tried different print settings BEST Photo etc. and it doesn't matter. Purples are not purple they are more like a matte finish lavender. Same for Blue I like bright blue and it comes out pastel. I just don't know what to do. Then the cartridges run low fast they don't seem to last especially the magenta and the blue. I do a lot of postcard printing (4 to a page) and posters and I want zing and flare so the posters get noticed and it just isn't happening.

Expensive but lasts a long time

At first I thought this product was too expensive but compared to other printers I've used in the past I am very pleased. This ink seems to last much longer & I'm not having to change it very often. Thumbs up!

I love this product! I have been using this particular ink about a year now. I can't believe how long this ink lasts! I have used other ink products and this one is by far the best as far as I'm concerned. I only have to buy ink twice a year for my printer. Even though the prices have gone it is still a bargain. I Highly recommend this product to everyone. If you want to save money try this product. Believe me you will be as happy as I am using this ink and saving at the same time. With the economy the way it is to stretch your dollar this is the ink to use. GREAT BUY!

To my astonishment I received an old old all wrinkled kindly of beaten up box. I hope the ink will last me and will not dry up quickly. I couldn't bring back the box as I needed it right away. But will never again order on line will take the time to go to the store and get it myself. Lately have been really disappointed with Staples product. If I am again unsatisfied will have to get my office products somewhere else.

This combo pack just makes good sense! You usually print most things in black ink so having the XL size black cartridge is wise; combine it with a set of the three individual color cartridges and you have a match made in heaven! I particularly like the fact that my HP 8600 printer uses the individual color cartridges. It is so much more economical to be able to change each cartridge individually as needed. I have also found that I can print quite a few more pages after the printer starts warning you that you are low on ink enabling me to actually empty the ink cartridge before I need to replace it. A great deal and wonderful idea!
