I love the Hewlett Packard printers. My old 1400 HP is still going strong. However since upgrading to a new PC with Windows 8 I lost some functionality. For example I used to be able to scan documents into a Adobe PDF file format. So what to do? I retired the HP 1400 printer and purchased a cool HP 8600 Office Jet Pro. Now I can print on both sides instead of one page at a time and flipping the paper over to print on the back side. I used to run out of black ink much faster than the color. So in addition to the High Yield Black and Standard Color 950XL and 951 I also pick up a double 950 Black pack.

950/951 colored ink

We have used this product since last fall and have found it to be very reliable. The colors are clear and we haven't had a problem with it at all. They are easy to install and are very bright and crisp when printing. The only issue we have with them is the cost as they are very expensive to replace. However we have had to replace them only 2 times this year meaning that they do last a long time for office use. We do not use them for multiple copies but only 1-5 at a time. We trust this item and will continue to use it. We try to use a coupon when buying it to make it less expensive.

Ink for hp printer

I have not ever had any trouble with the hp ink-- I have had a number of hp printers and ALWAYS use the hp ink. It is good color and solid with balck and white printing. I have not had trouble with the printers I have had and I do think that is because I use the hp ink-- It is always available at the STAPLES store in Mason City Iowa. I save the cartridges and take advantage of the STAPLES "recycling" program for the cartridges. My friend told me about it! I have told others and continue to work with STAPLES for my other office products. Good quality and great value. I find the staff to be helpful and willing to explain things to me. I will go back -- I love a good bargain. I also use the REWARDS card with my purchases and the office gets the coupons--which of course we use!

HP 950XL/951 High Yield Cartridges (C2P0

These ink cartridges live up to their name and are indeed High Yield. Compared to the standard cartridges these are a much better value and I will continue to purchase these since it saves money and they provide the added benefit of requiring fewer cartridge changes (which saves time and reduced printing down time). I also like these cartridges because of their high quality and versatility. They install easily and function flawlessly every time. I use them for regular printing on standard bulk paper and for photos on both glossy and matte specialty photo paper. For both plain paper printing and photo paper printing the results are excellent. There is virtually no drying time and the colors seem to last even when photos are in sunlight for long periods of time.

Ink for 8600 series printers

Awesome value for pro level printing. Up to 2300 documents average from one set of cartridges. Compare this to standard printer yields of 200 to 400 copies average on a set of cartridges. Hands down winner the 951 xl 950 xl set up.
