Combo pack with the XL black is the way to go. I prepare tax returns and use this printer sometimes. The ink last surprising for a surprising long time.

i have been buying office products from staples for 20 yrs and they always treet me with great respect. The ink i use is always HP and never had one fail and the qulity beats all other brands i have tried. HP has the best natural colors and don't bleed when printing people. I also only buy HP printers for there qulity and service agreement with no problem or questions if you ever need service or repairs. The Staples store in york pa on Rt 30 always has everthing you need to run and manage a office or in Hpme needs.

The perfect combimation

Packaging the ink cartridges this way the Black in an XL and the colors Cian Yellow and Magenta regular sized is the perfect combination! No longer am I plagued with extra unused cartridges of different colors. There was a time when the color I ran out of was NEVER the extra cartridge I had a spare. This way I seem to use them all 4 of the cartridges. . . in exactly this proportion. I save money. I save paper. And it's a much more efficient use of trips to the store! Thanks so much HP and Staples!
