I attempted to save a few bucks by buying non HP ink. This was a big mistake! That ink worked well for a few weeks then the black failed after using only about half. I replaced it with HP ink my printer worked great again. Then the color ink started to fail and produced poorly mixed colors. I then went back to Staples and bought a fresh package of all HP inks. No more printer problems and my printing is again accurate and colorful. I will never be tempted to buy off-brand ink again. My advice is to buy and use only HP ink. It is less expensive in the long run and much more satisfying.

Printer ink in all it's forms is overpriced. Tried using generic and it ruined my printer head. Now we are all at the mercy of HP Canon and all the others.
