XL is better.

Ink is not cheap especially when you volunteer and what you do is donated versus reimbursable. That is the reason to buy XL cartridges.

I've used off brand inks in my HP printers and was never happy with them. HP inks have always been great with no problems.

I use to go thru 15 cartridges a month on Epsom ink. I go thru 1 a month now with this product. So save a fortune.

HP Color Ink Cartridges

HP advertised its 950XL which is the Black toner has 2X more ink than the standard 950 Black toner. I use a lot of black and white printing it last about 7 reams of paper which is about 3500 pages. The other standard size 951 color ink: C/M/Y generally last about 4 reams if I do a lot of color printing. The color ink from HP 951 has good quality textures. The quality of the ink made impression on color pictures even on standard copy paper. The ink dried up quickly without any runoff problem. Overall HP 950/951 are good quality color ink for printing newsletter or printing presentation.
