While the printer ribbon is of high quality and that is what I always use I think the pricing of this ribbon is way over priced. Especially during these difficult times where money is of great concern I think that there could certainly be a roll back in the pricing. But I'm sure nothing will be done about lowering the price.

I was debating purchasing a new printer because my tried and true HP signaled a ‘failure.’ There’d been a fleeting reference on it to a cartridge and I wondered about getting another set of HP ink cartridges nearly the price of a unit that was on sale. (That had resolved a similar matter a couple of years ago.) I ended up buying the ink after discussing the matter with the salesperson and learning I could still return my old one and apply it to purchase of a new one if the cartridges didn’t resolve the situation and Voila! My old printer returned to good form. Terrific service and advice.

We have had the HP printer for quite a long time and this is the ink that goes with it. Since it still works just fine we will continue using it. Tried some refilled cartridges that were less expensive but they were not quality and we could barely get them to print. So stayed with the HP ink.
