HP cartridges are long-lasting

I recently purchased a new HP 8610 printer. I am still using the print cartridges that came with the printer. I do a lot of copying and they are still going strong. I also purchased the combo 4/pack but haven't had to use it yet. These HP cartridges are all I have ever used since HP printers are all I have purchased.

printer is not good

The ink pack is fine the printer is not that great. I had an 8500 all in one premium printer which was good. I just bought the 8600 all in one printer worked fine for the first couple of days now it keeps telling me it is not connected to my computer when it is it fails to print and when it does print it takes a very long time to print. I cannot get the printer to print off of tray 2 where I have my envelopes so I still have to switch out my paper to print out my envelopes since the printer is not recognizing Tray 2. Not happy with printer.
