Hi James I am very sorry that your cartridges did not work well. That was unfortunate. With your type of printer problems with the print quality are usually the fault of a clogged up printhead. It is important to either: - leave the machine on so that the maintenance routines keep the clogs away - if you turn it off be sure to use the printer's power button so the printer has time to move into a position that protects the printhead from developing dried ink clogs.
