Good ink works fine. That's a good thing since the printer won't operate with off-brand or re-manufactured cartridges. I understand HP firmware on the printer mandates that only HP ink works in the printer.

I have tried buying refilled ink cartridges from other places but more often than not they don't work at all. HP inkjet printer ink is outrageously expensive but no more so than the other major brands. At least by buying this at Staples I received it quickly and they work as they are supposed to work.
