Beatiful Embroidery

While I did receive compensation for this review my opinions are my own and I am providing an honest unbiased product review.
The PRS100 is a free arm embroidery machine so doing embroidery on sleeves, hats, pant legs, socks, shoes and many other items that are not flatbed friendly embroider easily. I really like the on-board bobbin winder; I can wind a bobbin so I can have my bobbin thread match my top thread for free standing lace or two-sided embroidery, beautiful! The hopping foot gives you wonderful embroidery and if you want a free motion machine a kit is available for free motion. It is a strong, hardworking machine that gives beautiful results.

A Step Up

My purchase was for personal use and I was overwhelmed by the size when I put it in my sewing room. I particularly like not having a sewing platform and the accessibility of the thread winder and bobbin. Learning to use it is a challenge, but have had good support form my dealer.

Great value for the price

I absolutely love this machine. The threading is so easy since you can tie on. I'm very happy that it is not as big as the multi needle machines with the free arm. Love all the hoops but miss the fast frames.

Finally! we can do Caps

I would call the Persona "hybrid" machine. It is built to embroider caps and sleeves with its cylinder arm, yet designed for household embroidery at a good price point.
Easy to use, easy to thread, it has a gorgeous monogram and stitch package in the machine. As an added bonuses, I can stitch Disney Designs that I purchase from the ibroidery website!

Great machine. Still haven't figured it all out and have only had a short class, not the longer one from my dealer yet, but, it is pretty user friendly and works beautifully.

Disappointed

I have been frustrated ever since I bought my machine. I have taken it back for repair three times. The first time, it needed to be serviced, the second time the timing was off and the third time the threader needed to be replaced. I haven’t even had my machine for a year yet. I wish I could get my money back for it. When it does work, it embroiders wonderfully. I’m just don’t have the physical strength it takes to keep taking it for repairs.

Would probably buy again

Machine works good and has good features. I do have a lot of problem with the wiper. I talked with the company I purchased from and they said I was threading the needle wrong. I changed to there way and still about 8 out of 10 times it goes to move I get a check wiper error. I also have a problem with when I cut the machine on sometimes it will not boot up. The button just flashes yellow very quickly and does nothing. Most times it will clear up with one cut off of the switch if not two. The machine does sew quality products though.

Was so excited to get my new machine but problems started immediately. First the needle threader malfunctioned. The little thread grabber that is suppose to go through the eye of the needle is going off to the left. I have to thread by hand which is hard with bad eyesight. Also, the auto thread cutter cuts the bobbin thread too short so the machine stops and I have pull the bobbin out and lengthen the thread, put it back in, and start again. Probably minor adjustments, but totally inconvenient as the machine is downstairs and it is so heavy I cannot carry it. Both my husband and I (72 & 73 years) have bad backs and have to get someone else to carry it. Also we live 75 miles from the nearest dealer.
