I honestly bought these headphones because I like purple and they match everything I own. The first set I bought a couple years ago, had pressure cracks beside the tiny screws where the ear cuff attaches to the headband. I sent pictures to turtle Beach for a warranty inquiry, and they were willing to replace them as long as I cut the cord with scissors. I didn’t do that, and just before Christmas this year, I was putting them on and the ear cuff snapped completely along one of these pressure cracks and was left, dangling from the rest of the headset. I went to get a replacement pair during Boxing Day, and the mic was completely defective right out of the box. The most noise that could be heard was a static cracking with movement of the plug-in. I was able to exchange them at Best Buy for what is now my third pair, and they work, however, there is the occasional static sound through the speakers which tells me that the wiring and connections are just not great. I have these for aesthetic at this point.
I used this for just my meetings for work. I had it for 2 years and the headband broke. Never dropped it and always on my desk. I went to take it off and it cracked as i was taking it off my head. I figured it would last longer since it was not for gaming and no chance for it to be sat on.
I really wanted to like these because they were the only gaming headset I could find in-store locally that was pink or purple, and I've heard good things about this brand. I don't have any specific requirements for what I need in a headset in terms of audio or microphone quality, so I found this headset to be fine for both aspects. I also feel that the construction seems durable and of good quality so it would last a long time. However, it is extremely uncomfortable to the point that I am avoiding wearing it as much as possible until I find another headset. It's definitely not that my head is big, I think it may actually be because my head is on the smaller side so the weight really bears down on me. The cushion under the headband is almost non-existent, you can easily feel the wires under the leather. Plus the headband and headset itself is very bulky and heavy, so even after extending it to the max length (which isn't much), the headset still pushes down into the top of my head. I even tried putting a thick folded up cloth underneath the band for extra padding and to create distance between my head and the headband, and it still didn't make any difference in the pressure. I am very surprised by the reviews saying that this headset is comfortable, but again maybe it's just because my head is small and I am also sensitive to getting headaches from things like this. I also wear glasses which probably doesn't help, though one of its advertised features is it is supposed to be comfortable for glasses-wearers. Overall, I guess it is a decent basic headset if you aren't picky.
I love the colours on this headset. They also fit really well over my glasses. The sound quality is great and it connects well to my Series S controller.
I as a gamer had to get new headphones, but when I tried these the left ear would not play any sound. I tried multiple different setting and decided to return these and get a razor pare instead. RAZER HAD MUCH BETTER AUDI0.
They keep breaking. The colors are so cute, exactly what I've been looking for. The sound and mic are fine, although there was a noticeable decrease in quality of both after just a few months. My biggest issue is that the ear cups keep breaking off.
The plastic connecting the ear cups to the top head band is paper thin, to the extent that the ear cups just tear off. Not crack, not break, but *tear*. That's how thin the plastic is. I've had a replacement sent to me a only month after I bought them (directly through Turtle Beach, not BB), and the replacement broke too. Really wanted to love these.
