Got 2 kittens a week ago. They were too small to use this litter tray. We set it up along side a regular tray, but not plugged in. In no time, they were using the smart litter tray & we got rid of the old one. A week later, they're over the min. weight for the Smart tray & it is up & running in auto mode. Very pleased how quickly they adapted & how easy it is to clean! Only negative is the small writing & diagrams in the manual. This was solved by requesting a PDF link from els pet which is much easier to read. i debated on getting a self cleaning box for a long time, mainly factoring in the amount of money they cost, however, i finally caved & i do not regret it at all.this is 100% worth it. i have had it for a week & have not smelled cat feces or urine at all. i have a very busy schedule & work long hours, this has help tremendously with eliminating my least favorite house chore.i have 2 adult cats that use the bathroom frequently & they smell horrible. with that being said, i have been changing the waste bag at least every 1-1.5 days just to prevent a smell from creeping on. although i am changing it more frequently, it beats having to scoop the litter myself. changing the bag is very quick and time efficient. it takes about 40 seconds to take it out and replace with a new bag.the box has the option to turn the ring light on or off, depending on your preference.there are options on the app to customize the way the box works (amount of time you want to allow litter to clump, amount of time you want UV light cleanings, run an extra cleaning cycle, etc…).the box is huge, but if you have the space to put it somewhere, it shouldn’t be a problem.have not run into any dislikes or cons at this point - will update review if something pops up.

The best thing is not having to scoop scoop litter everyday but we still have to scoop it a little for the urine due to having more than 1 cat. It doesn’t get all the urine but it only takes a minute to get it. The urine leaks out and doesn’t stay in the litter box. It leaks out the side into the pan. However, seller reached out to try to fix this. Maybe the box i got was defective and I’ll give it another shot with a new one. However, the rake is hard to get off and the pan is hard to get out. Maybe this will get easier once it gets used to being taken apart. We bought it as our buying a new house present. We got it but didn’t open it until we moved into the new house and as a result we didn’t get to test the product before the refund period ended. However, the seller reached out to remedy the problem. They have been great to work with. *** update - Seller has replaced defective product. They have been a pleasure to work with.

I absolutely hate cleaning the litter box. I am pretty busy with kids and tend to put off cleaning and then it’s gross and The smell makes me sick. I didn’t even know automatic litter boxes existed and when I discovered this I read the reviews and I saw there was a good discount so I desired to take the chance and ordered it. The box was huge so I was worried it wasn’t going to fit in the corner I kept our litter box. Turned out it was just well padded and only a little larger than the potted plant style litter box I had before. One of the reasons I chose this one was because it had a door that closed when it cleaned. I have dogs and was worried they would stick their heads in there before it could get cleaned but so far they haven’t bothered it. The UV sanitizing light is pretty neat.It comes with an app so you can clean it whenever you want. I just let it do it’s thing.It typically cleans a few minutes after the cat has been in there.My cat was a little suspicious but he’s pretty laid back and gave it chance and hung around to observe the cleaning process and now he uses it regularly with no issues. It contains the smells pretty well too. I use regular litter as well.The poop and pee just get scooped into a bagged bucket in the back that you can access easily and take the bag out no problem. I haven’t had any problems with it and it’s my new favorite appliance.

Overall, the litter box works as it should. Although It doesn't do much for covering the scent until it sifts it out of the main compartment. We use this 1 litterbox for 3 cats and have yet to change the tray after about 2 weeks of use. Our cats did not have any problems adjusting to the new litterbox. The moving parts do not scare them, but it is very interesting and they gather around to watch it when it runs. This litterbox is not too loud for us. It does not wake us up while we are sleeping and it does not bother our neighbors in our apartment complex. The fill lines can be hard to see when some litter is in the box, and if it is overfilled, it will not be able to self-clean properly.The directions seem to be translated from another language, and I personally think they need to be looked over again. The grammar and word choice is not the most clear in some spots and a quick look-over would help dramatically. The app could also use some polish, but it lets us know when to refill the litter without having to stick our heads in the litterbox. It would be cool if the weight sensor could tell which cat is using it for households with multiple cats and report that to the app. The app tracks how often each cat uses the litterbox and it would be nice to know if each cat uses it twice or if one cat uses it 4 times and the other cats 1 time each. May be hard to tell weight differences too, not sure if this would be possible.

I will get straight to the point, this originally was my favorite choice for a cat litter box.PROS:PRO 1: The mechanical rake works relatively well at scooping all the clumps.PRO 2: The poop bin is located on the back/top of the unit, making it easier to reach without bending; I LOVED it because I have back issues.PRO 3: The Inside area was spacious and my cat felt very comfortable inside.PRO 4: I place the litter box in another room (1 wall away from my bedroom and the noise level when cleaning was quiet enough to not bother me but still loud enough that it could be heard. It cleans quickly. It takes like 1 minute or so to clean.PRO 5: It's lightweight and easy to move around.PRO 6: Easy to set up and use. I used it without connecting to the app. I liked that it could be used in a more analog way instead of only working with the app. Although not easy to troubleshoot. Which is why I am returning it. ( For me the rake shovel got stuck and there was no support to troubleshoot it.)Pro 7: The Unit uses UV light to sanitize the inside of the box and it helped with smells. (However, see CON #3.)Cons:Con 1:The from step/ littler catcher is not long/wide enough. My cat jumped right past it, defeating the whole point of it and unfortunately, the unit does not work without the step being pulled up and snapped into place. Leaving leftover litter granules from the cat's paws on the floor.Con 2: The litter pan is not sealed well enough to prevent leaking on the sides of the unit. My cat likes to pee on the walls of the litter box and it seeps through the crevices and ends up on the bottom. It's an easy clean but still a daily task in order to eliminate the small. I spent the $$$ to buy this in order to clean less during the week. So this flaw counteracted my purchase.BIGGEST Con 3: Although I love that the pop collection was located in a convenient spot at the back/top of the unit- there was nothing containing or reducing the smell. No carbon filter or anything that could have helped. So the popped collected and still made the laundry room small like a litter box. The easy fix was just emptying the trash bag daily but again I spent the $$$ to buy this in order to clean less during the week. So this flaw counteracted my purchase.I do believe all the cons are minor design flaws that with some engineering could be fixed on future models.

This is the best (too expensive) thing I have ever bought. Our two 9 month old Maltese puppies love to eat cat poop. They literally cannot wait for the cat to poop. This solved that problem. The cat exits and the lid closes after the cat exits. The giant rake scooper does a wonderful job at completely removing the waste. We have a giant 16 year old Maine Coon cat who only has 3 legs. Yes, even handicapped older cats can use it. The cat loves it, especially the blue light. My husband and I love not scooping waste. We empty the bag every 2-3 days to keep everything tidy. If you have a normal size cat you can probably empty less often.The only down side ( other than price) is that it is huge and you can’t exactly hide it. However, for our big cat, a big box is an advantage. Regardless, we are in love with this thing and it makes our life so easy. I highly recommend it. It even comes with an spare rake. It holds a full box of cat litter and we have no cat smell in our home now. Noise wise, I would not want it in the room I slept in, but it’s not very loud.You can get a better price directly from Els Pet, but if you have to return it, it will cost you hundreds ( weight and size of box is about the size of an end table furniture piece), so we decided to buy it with Prime just in case it didn’t do the job or their was an issue with it being defective.Hope this helps you make a decision. For us , it was about safety for our pets. We realized 1 vet bill for a sick dog who ate cat poop would be about the same price (if not more) as this litter box, not to mention the heart break of the pups being sick. It was an easy decision at that point and I have no regrets.

Love the simplicity of it. Pretty much plug n go. Very very quiet. The blue light pic is ready to go green is letting you know your cat has used it. Love it but if I would do a 2.0 I would make the litter catch containment bigger and add a function on the app letting you know it needed changed. My cats love the lights, n door movement, sometimes I think they go in just so they can watch afterwards lol
