Easy and fun to use

I've never used an embroidery machine before and found this easy and fun to use. It works well, is quick and easy to set up, and the app is fun. My only complaint is that the app and the machine never stay connected to each other and I have to keep resetting it.

App's acting up, making the machine useless.

When everything clicks, it does a solid job—creates beautiful stitching and is quite user-friendly. Lately, though, I've run into a hiccup. My app is acting up, refusing to let me save and resume my project. I've troubleshooted, from resetting the WiFi to reloading the app, but even with a subscription, the option to save seems elusive. It's a bit of a bummer, especially since it's the key to using the embroidery machine. =(

Not happy with it at all

I have had a bunch of issues with the machine also the happy has an issue converting small text

I CANNOT believe how terrible the PP1 embroidery machine is. I got this as a gift, and from the very first setup, it’s been nothing but a nightmare.
This machine CONSTANTLY jams, makes a ridiculous amount of thread “bird nests,” and sometimes gets so stuck that I have to CUT the thread from underneath the fabric just to keep going. It’s infuriating, stressful, and completely unusable.
I’ve watched all the tutorials, tried every fix I could find, and nothing works. Every single time I use it, I have to hover over it like a hawk because it WILL mess up. Why even bother paying for an app when the machine itself is a disaster?
I have two other Brother machines, and they work perfectly. The PP1 is a total failure in comparison. Whoever designed this thing clearly didn’t test it at all. I can see why it’s on sale—because it SUCKS. They should throw every single one of these in the trash and never sell them. Selling this is a surefire way to lose customers.
I’ve sent them an email about these issues, and I’m waiting to see how they can actually help. I hope they don’t just send the same generic response to everyone. Visit www.support…
(PP1) if you want to see what I’m talking about. Brother, I still have hopes that you’ll fix this—prove that you care about your customers!
DO NOT BUY THE PP1. Total waste of money, complete garbage, and an insult to Brother’s reputation.

Great Machine + App

I absolutely love my Skitch! The smaller hoop is not an issue because the ease of hooping makes up for that and some. The ease of the machine+app in general in sort of mind blowing. I see a lot of complaints about limits with the machine but as long as you pick the right projects to do, it’s a step up from Brother other machines and I’m looking forward to bigger hoops, but I’m not waiting. This is a real, UNPAID review so don’t get it twisted and stop listening to those Karens.

Nice addition

I own several Brother machines from sewing to embroidery and embroidery/sewing combos. This was a welcomed addition for the pricing of a single needle and free arm machine. I have been able to do many things with it and looking forward to more. The magnetic hoop is awesome.

Awful machine

I have had nothing but issues since I have received my machine. To start it off my bobbin case constantly would come misaligned. After having to buy a new one for my brand new machine that issue was fixed. The problems continue though. My needles break and bend I have went through a pack of needles in one single day. I have adjusted my tension, tried different stabilizer, you name it I’ve tried it. My upper thread continues to come unthreaded, I have rethreaded the entire machine, changed thread, changed needles, changed tension, changed material I am trying to embroider on, nothing works. And if that’s not enough my automatic threading is now not working. I haven’t had this machine 2 weeks and have had nothing but problem after problem, have not even been able to complete one simple project. If there was an option for 0 stars that’s what I would give it. It’s terrible and I am in full regret of even purchasing.
