This umbrella looks nice and does a good job of providing shade, but is too cheaply made to survive for very long. After nine months, the shaft snapped in half. We were lucky the cord held, since otherwise the top could easily have taken flight and lodged itself in a neighbor's window.
Turns out the silver part used to tilt the canopy is not metal but cheap plastic, and it sheared right off in a light breeze. Naturally, the warranty is only 60 days, so we're out 60 bucks. Live and learn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great umbrella for the price. I especially like the push button lock to separate the pole for easy take down. Only thing I don't like is there is no built-in strap/tie to wrap around the umbrella.
These Umbrellas are amazing.. They are of great quality and extremely durable.. When they didn't fly away during the extreme storms we experienced in Phoenix I couldn't wait to write this review.. Definitely worth every penny!!
We're completely satisfied with our umbrella. The coverage on our deck is excellent, the tilt feature is helpful, and the color is beautiful. I'm not sure I love the crank handle, but that's just a minor quibble.
