These chairs recline smoothly and the cup holders are actually really valuable. They also lock in place if you want to stay reclined at a certain angle. They are showing rust spots already but not too badly.
Overall, these are good for the price you pay for them. There are a couple of things to take note of. First, before we even used them, we found small amounts of rust. I had not even put them outside yet. So I’m guessing the warehouse may be humid and the paint they use may not prevent rust. I don’t know. Second, the locking mechanism doesn’t consistently lock. You have to turn the locking mechanism on both sides really hard get it to lock and it will inevitably loosen up due to the design. I can think of better ways to design this but perhaps they did the math and it was more expensive which went against their market research for the price point people were willing to spend so they chose otherwise. Once again, I don’t know. And third, if you are a short person these will be a perfect fit. If you are tall, when you recline your lower legs will be resting on the metal bar. That all said, these are very comfortable. You can clean the rust and prevent it from happening if you’re willing to do a little diy. The other two things you can’t fix but it’s not a total deal breaker because the price is so good and you can see whether it’s worth it to you to buy a more expensive pair in the future. I don’t regret buying these.
This was an anniversary gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They were extremely pleased with the quality and comfort of these chairs. In addition, the large side-tray made these chairs stand out from others we considered.
