Good hardware that is sadly ruined by horrible amount of bloat and bad OS experience. I found it shocking how bad the setup experience has become on Windows Home devices. HP requires you to accept both McAfee and Windows license before you start using the device. I can understand the Windows license part agreeing to a license for software that will be removed as one of the first steps towards setting up the system is ridiculous. After that, you get to the part where you can't continue without an internet connection and a Microsoft account.
Once you make it through the initial obstacle course, you are faced with a system loaded with garbage apps like tiktok, instagram, etc....
Having a choice to get this without an operating system would have been wonderful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lightweight and sleek. Does what I need it to do. Just wish the keys had a little more contrast. A little difficult to see in lower light with my older eyes. Otherwise fine. Set up was easy and got going quickly right out of the box. Delivery faster than expected.
