Great for working with chicken bones. Forged blade adds to the heft and weight behind each motion. Great addition to my Zwilling set.

Great size cleaver

This cleaver is not as daunting in size, but still gets the job done of cutting through big pieces of meat, produce with little effort needed. It has a nice weight to it and the curved bolster really helps with gripping such a big blade. A great addition to any kitchen.

This is a very comfortable cleaver for such a sturdy tool. Not as heavy as you might think!
It's got a lot of balance for what looks like a heavy blade. Really like using this for cutting my chicken into pieces. It's also convenient to use for a lot of veggie prep! If you turn the blade away from you, you can use it like a bench scraper!! Good to have this on hand.

This is the ultimate cleaver, it's thick, heavy and built out of high end stainless steel. Works great for chicken, ribs and everything in between.

Perfect for chicken

I use a lot of whole chickens because it's the most economical way to purchase. The thickness and heft, along with the super sharp blade make the break down process pretty simple and painless. That curved bolster helps me hold the knife correctly. And the awesome German steel ensures it will remain sharp and last a lifetime.

Heavy in the hand and that means it cuts through any and all meats - chicken, pork, sides of beef, you name it! This is heavy duty and has the same curved bolser for a sure grip and comfort and others in the Pro group. Made to least a lifetime and made in Germany to ensure it is a quality product! It also has a 4.5" sister cleaver, so if this one feels a bit too big or heavy, get the 4.5".
