[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There was good communication from the team to get the laptop out but I ordered a specific laptop and was hit with delay after delay. The laptop I recieved (ThinkPad T14) is amazing, outdoes any expectations I had, but I ordered at the same time as a friend, and he got his in a week, I was kept on the line for ~6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this laptop for school, and specifically for it's AMD processor and their performance with VMs. It boots quickly, runs quiet, and runs everything (Office, VMware, Visio) perfectly. It's small, thin and lightweight, too!
I was also delightfully surprised by it's gaming performance, despite not having a discreet GPU. Certainly not going to play the latest AAA games at high settings, but I can play a round of DOTA or Titanfall 2 flawlessly. It does get a bit hot under heavy load, understandable, so make sure it's on a flat, clean service if gaming/power using.
Also the light-up keyboard was a bit disappointing in it's presentation. You have this idea of the ASUS laptop keyboards, or the Razor keyboard lights. I knew it would be one color, which is fine, but the light up portion is very not-that-lit-up-at-all, unless the room is super dark. A weird nit-pick, maybe, but I wish it was better.
Over all: Very happy with the purchase, and plan to use this laptop for many years in and beyond school.
