I bought one of these drives for my personal computer back in 2019. Replaced my old SATA drive after I found some bad sectors on it. The Kinston drive has had no issues during its time so far, (Just over 7 years) I am happy with the product and would recommend it.
Using Win 10 "Disk Management" the new SATA Drive had to be INITIALIZED. I then PARTITIONED it to be recognized as 4 different disk drives ..."W","X","Y" & "Z" to accommodate 4 different projects. Simple to do if you just follow the Win 10/11 "Disk Management" instructions. I have had no problems with using Kingston solid state storage devices in the past. Note: New SSD is used in a USB SATA Docking Station with a laptop computer. Very fast when compared with other SATA spinning disk drives used the same way.
This device was a drop in replacement for a similar sized drive, and it worked with no issues. the form factor is correct, and it fits exactly in the socket, as required. Note, it's an odd size, 960GB,as opposed to a 1TB, but the difference in size not that important.
