[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kingston was easy to install. It needed a bit of setup which was time consuming but once installed it was easy to use. Felt sturdy. I also have a Kingston trackball which is great and feel the storage is going to be great as well and work well. It was easy to install physically. It did take a bit longer for the computer to recognize. I do wish that is was an external memory.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Computer runs like new

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SSD works really well, installation is very easy. After installing this my PC runs a lot faster and there is no more lagging in between the commands. File transfer is super fast I no longer wait close to an hour when I am transferring large data from a portable storage it is just completes in minutes.
Turning on or off the PC time is amazing it just takes about 10 seconds for windows to load everything on startup and on shut down before I even move my hand away from the mouse it shuts off completely. I am really impressed with this SSD speed.

A good OS drive, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm sure Kingston is trying to keep up with competitors, and bless them for trying, but this drive just isn't much more than run-of-the-mill. While it will fit a laptop nicely (exceptions apply), it needs an adapter for a desktop computer, which being sold separately already makes it a step behind. The lack of cables isn't really a setback when talking personally, but I can see for others that it would be annoying. Already, unpacking, things aren't looking good.
Slapping it in to a system, that kind of storage space isn't really going to be good for a whole lot these days other than an OS drive. As such, that's what I did with mine and got "fair to positive" results. While read times were acceptable, there wasn't really any sort of mind-blowing user experience when it came to navigating the usual tasks (opening programs, utilizing tools and widgets, etc.). It's still nice to have a clean drive and partition to run an OS off of, but...well...it's really just another drive to manage.
Worth it if you're making the switch up to SSD for your operating system. Otherwise, just kind of a stocking stuffer that may or may not collect dust.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While not the fastest SSD, the reliability and the value of the Kingston Drives make them worthwhile picking up as media storage drives for music or video or picture collections.
I use one of of these to store back ups of my save game data for when I delete an install of a game, and another for backups of home movies that I converted from VHS to digital.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Kingston A400 -120GBit for my laptop. It was about 5 years old & running extremely slow as the HDD was malfunctioning. After installing the SSD, the Laptop is now so much more fast with boot times of around 10seconds. Recommend all to go for SSDs as it does have a major impact on your Laptop/Desktop performance.

I somehow fried mine. This one was very affordable and came highly recommended. It was easy to swap. My laptop is like a new machine now. Works great.

Fast and reliable

I like that is has plenty of storage with 240GB and transferring files, pictures etc. is very quick and easy. It is very reliable and is making my laptop experience much better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installing this was pretty simple. Can follow the directions provided or videos online for further directions. Upon installing this SSD I noticed the smoothness pretty much instantly. Its been a few weeks so far and it's still pretty much functioning well. I'm pretty surprised how well this made computer function honestly.
