Good blender but safety button not necessary.

I miss my old model without the safety switch! It's just too much trouble to have to depress that button everytime i engage the motor. Otherwise, it is a wonderful product for making smoothies, immersion blending, etc., and it is helpful that the blending stick detaches from the main blender so that you can put it into the sink, dishwasher, etc for cleaning and not have to worry about immersing and ruining the motor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really don't know what to use this for. I tried it to make a milkshake and it didn't work. I bought it because I thought I could use it instead of a blender, but not so. Wish I would have sent it back while I had the chance.

I bought the new Soeed Stick to replace the one I've had since 2006. I use it a lot to make creamed soups which is heavy duty work. It never fails to complete the job no matter how difficult it is. It always easily performs like a champ!

I purchased this item per the recommendation of my sister. Made a bunch of apple sauce and after putting the apples through a colander type gadget I used the hand blender and what a difference that made. Makes the apple sauce that much more delicious!!

I finally acquiesced and bought an immersion blender. Here are my thoughts on this one...1. You can not continuously let it run, it must be turned off every once in a while. So you might have to do this several times if you're doing a big pot of soup. 2. I wish it had some sort of protection on the bottom where the blade is when you store it 3. I didn't think about cordless until I used it. Doesn't really bother me, but decide what you want. Otherwise, I am excited about it and have used it 3 times in the last month (a lot more than I thought and I would use it more if I cooked every night!)
