I ordered 2 of these at same time. 1 has worked fine since I got it. The other one quit working after 3 days. I have cleaned the entire unit, turned it off and back on, unplugged the power supply and plugged it back in and it will not humidify. So It appears that there is a 50% chance that a unit will work. On the other hand I’ve got quite a few Govee products and this is the first one that just quit working on me. But for the price paid it should have worked longer than 3 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Designed to sell air purifiers

The purpose of this humidifier is to sell air purifiers. The recommended external sensor tracks PM2.5 for air quality, which picks up white dust. White dust is generated by ultrasonic humidifiers like this one and all Govee humidifiers from the impurities in the water put into the unit. This, this humidifier sends the white dust into the air, which is detected by the PM2.5 sensor, which then declares your air quality low, which then gets you to purchase one of their air purifiers which conveniently also connects to the same sensor. All Govee had to do to make this less scammy was to use evaporation instead of ultrasound, and it would have worked just as well without being an air pollution device. Would not recommend to anyone without a distillery or reverse osmosis system in their home.

Govee products are the best. I should know they're all over my house. Lights, heaters, humidifiers, temperature and water sensors. I can't get enough of them. I'm not affiliated with Govee, I'm just a satisfied customer.

This humidifier is great! Set it and forget it. Runs nice and quiet. Haven't tried the essential oils yet, but it syncs with my hydrometer flawlessly!

Great Features ,Meant for a small Office

I use this in my 12' x 12' office and I started out at 25% humidity. With the office door always closed it took two days to get the room up to 50% and i dosent seem to be able to go any higher than that at the moment and its been 2 weeks now. It bounces around between 48 and 52 %. I would not reccomend for any room larger than what i have.
