Insulation a bit stiff

I bought the Select series 14ga wire for the surround channels in my portable outdoor movie projection setup. The distance from amp to speakers is less than 25 feet and the surround speakers are small so I went 14ga instead of 12ga in use for all of the other channels inthe setup.
Sound wise, the wires are fine. Since this is a portable setup, I need to roll/unroll the wires every time the systems is used. The insulation on the Select Series seems to have more plastic mixed in making it easier for the wire to remember a bend/kink and difficult to 'flip-coil' roll the wire back up when finished. The insulation on the Choice Series is more flexible and rolls up much easier.
For a permanent installation, the stiffer insulation shouldn't be a problem. Once rolled out, the wire stays flat.

fantastic speaker wires and the price is just ridiculous. what else is there to say other than "they are just great plain speaker wire." bought the 14g but could have just as easily gone with 16g or 18g.

Great with banana plugs

A better choice at 25 ft or less when you intend to use banana plugs than the 12 gauge, as the quality is fine and the ease of fitting the plugs is substantially better.

No surprises here. It?s a 50? roll of speaker wire. Most other stores had rolls that were way too short or way to long for what I needed. Thanks, Monoprice!
