Docking station will not charge laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The docking station will not charge laptop out of the box. FAQ and online instructions say to reset the ThinkPad's harddrive (for real) and reinstall firmware! Ready to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok but one DP port busted and doesn’t charge t15p

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works fine just a couple things- one of the dp ports doesn’t work- shows snow on my screen. The other one works fine and I don’t want to be without the dock so I won’t return it. Also
I have a t15p and the dock won’t power my laptop. It’s pretty annoying that I still need my charger but I suppose it’s better for running down the battery.

some apparent lack of compatibility with Lenovo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thunderbolt docking station for Lenovo X1 Carbon notebook and ThinkVision screen is ok. I specifically purchased all Lenovo thinking they would be compatible but am disappointed. The notebook will not boot if connected to the docking station. I connect after booting. I am using all latest drivers. I had previously used a USB-C docking station and had similar issues but thought the upgrade would correct them. Not so.
