Laptop still requires laptop power cord in addition to docking station cord. I had expected that the docking station would have a power button, but it does not.

I bought the docking station to have less things to plug into my laptop. I can't get my HP monitor to work from the HP docking station. Now I have one more thing to plug in. I already had a hub, so the docking station is a complete waste of money.

This device was the worst purchase ever. It kept dropping my network, and connected devices, to the point that I would have to unplug my monitor and plug it back in to recognize it again, and the wired network speeds were way slower that wifi on the same computer. I eventually replace this unit with a non-HP brand similar multi-port device.

Wish it had two HDMI ports instead of one, but I was able to hook up my dual monitor to my laptop and that was the goal. I just have to plug one monitor into the hub and the other into the laptop
