Power hungry docking station uses so much power it doesn't allow enough power to charge the laptop when using HP recommended 65 watt power supply. It's also a docking station with no headphone jack, limiting the connections to the devices I enjoy using on my desk.

I was told specifically that this device would allow me to connect another monitor using the HDMI port on my HP laptop. Because of the type of USB-C port that my laptop has, it needed this hub to be able to use the HDMI port. It doesn't work!

Is any USB-C Multport Hub ever truly "Universal"?

HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet and regular USB ports work great. Documentation on how to properly use the USB-C type C passthrough port to power the laptop is seriously lacking.

Truly disappointing product. It does not reliably and consistency work. This should have been an easy plug and play and that is not what it is. Frankly I don't know whether this thing will ever work for me. An expensive waste of money.
