[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using a coworkers impact 5 days every week for about a year and it has been more then reliable. So good I actually had to get one for myself. And for the price it was nice to get the regular drill too. Haven’t had any problems with the battery’s and hopefully I don’t. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good reliable set. I love the lights on them too!

A light weight tool with ample of power.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas, have trouble charging(light flickers) have to play with it to get it to charge, saying that, the drill has quit working, work light comes on but the drill does not turn, swapped batteries from the impact driver, same thing, impact driver is fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My first DeWalt

I have had three other cordless drills and have been using DeWalt cordless tools that belong to a good friend for about five years. I put the drill to use first thing out of the box installing cabinet doors. Impressive, and most of all the drill and driver bits didn’t wonder around at the tip as all of my previous cordless units have done. Love everything about the DCD771 - what took me so long. Recommend improvements are a better closure for the case (right off the case wouldn’t open because the zipper stick), maybe a level on the drill and driver, a clip to hold an accessory bit, and moving the LED from the screw gun further away from the chuck so as not to case a shadow.

Lithium Ion Batteries Supplied With Drill/Driver

I received this kit as a gift February 2021. At first I thought it was exactly what I needed. I use hand drills when doing work around the home, garden, garage, and helping friends. It seemed to be the ideal tool. I normally have 3-4 battery operated drills around the house and 1 corded drill. I finally had a reason to use the impact driver first in early June 2021. I charged the batteries from this kit as per the instructions and used the impact driver on one of our cars. It worked perfectly for the job than any other drill I previously used. I used it roughly 10 minutes. I also used the drill for a small project as a drill/screwdriver for about 15 minutes. Both the drill and driver are exactly what I need for my home projects. But both batteries ran out of power the very next time I used them, and they would not charge. I attempted to charge them both in the charger that came with the kit. Both would start charging with the red light flashing and an amber light next to the red light constantly on. One of the batteries would continue the same for over 10 hours. I could not find anywhere in the instructions what the charge time should be, so I disconnected that battery to use on the drill. The drill ran for 30 seconds and died. I placed the second battery in the charger where the red light would flash with the amber light lit for about 10 seconds, then the red light would turn solid, and the amber light would be off. When I tried to use that battery in the drill, it lasted about the same amount of time. I repeated my charging of the batteries and trying to use them for 2 more days without any better results.
I read in this part of the DeWalt web site that someone had the same problem about 3 years ago. I am writing this prior to attempting to charge each battery for a minimum of 24 hours as this person did. I wanted to make sure I did not forget any of the information I mentioned above. I will continue this after I try to charge for 24 hours each. Of course, anyone reading this will not see the time lapse of a minimum of 48 hours giving the results.

Although I am disappointed with the operation of the batteries, for the short time I used the impact wrench, I loved it. Right now I will put a cautious "Yes" for a recommendation. Both the drill and impact wrench worked perfectly and easily for the short period the batteries held their charges. I especially liked the Quick Release Chuck on the impact wrench and the weight of each tool.

Cheap Tools

Received this combo for Christmas, used the drill to,well drill some holes in some thin gauge metal. After 5-6holes, the drill was so HOT, I couldn't touch it. Side note, when you release the trigger on the drill, the motor sounds as if you jammed a stick into it to stop it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as reliable as my previous 18V model

Bought this package at a great price last May...when using the impact driver it smelled at bit burnt...after another week of minimal use it just died. Brought it back & exchanged it for another brand new Kit. I have since been using weekly and one of my battery packs no longer charges. I will contact customer service warranty, hopefully they will replace it since it has not been 12 months yet?
Still I Love these tools and the Impact is light weight.
