This is a great supplement to the charger that comes with the laptop. I bought it so I could keep it plugged in at home all the time, and have one for work also. The cord is long enough and it keeps the laptop charged.

I bought this to replace the original one that came with my Envy PolyStudio laptop. The original cord had a fiber/textile type covering, which frayed rather quickly with use. It wasn't long before insulated wiring was exposed in the original cord. I was of course worried about electrical shock or a fire starting. The HP 65W USBC LC Power Adapter is a great improvement because it is completely black plastic covered (as opposed to the fabric-like covering on the one that came with the laptop) and holds up well with no fraying. It also withstands being bent at a very acute angle at times (depends on where it's being used and where the nearest electrical outlet is) with no damage. Well worth the reasonable cost!
