You can hear the individual instruments!

We take this speaker when we go camping. In the tent we have a tablet playing a movie and the audio goes to the portable speaker.. That lets us put the speaker closer to our heads and not have to blast the volume(turn on PlaytimeBoost which reduces the super low rumble and lets the voices come in clearer, also allows extended battery playtime)
It would be great for vanlife camping as it is completely portable and rechargeable.

I have a newer JBL Extreme 4 speaker (just kind of a larger,louder version of the Flip7). It has the
Auracast feature which allows multiple speakers to play the same song...
I enabled it and WOWOWOW,it was like magic!
I could not tell where the sound was coming from.
The Small speaker was sitting right here,and the larger Extreme was over by the couch,
when I started playing the song to both speakers,you couldn't tell where either speaker was!
It was like the sound was coming from somewhere between the two. Just very cool.

The speaker can be controlled with JBL Portable App but you don't have to have it running to play audio.

I haven't been able to get the Auracast speakers (the new ones) to talk to the older Flip 4
with JBL Connect which is a bummer,as you know the more speakers the better!

I thought the Flip 7 would be very similar sounding to my old Flip 4 but I was mistaken,
the audio is much more “separated” and clearer sounding.
The build quality is still high quality,seems to have a smoother softer feel.
No speakerphone feature on this one,but I never used it on my old one so it didn't matter to me.

Most televisions these days have bluetooth which you can easily pair with this speaker.
Keep the speaker near you while watching tv so you don't have to blast the volume and
keep the whole house up at night!

I would recommend the Flip 7 to anyone looking for a high quality,waterproof,,small portable speaker or if you're looking
to upgrade an older speaker to the newer technology.

Cool customization, big sound for a lil guy

The fact that you can upload your own images or art and create a custom design for the speaker is cool as heck. I was slightly concerned that the colors would not be as vibrant and deep on the final product,, but it turned out looking great. Actually a lot higher quality than I expected. Pretty impressed!
The speaker itself packs a lot of punch and volume for its size. Completely satisfied there.

Another Awesome Speaker from JBL!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off the packaging. The package is durable and well made, not over packaged, so they are thinking about reducing waste which makes me happy.
The artwork on the package is clean and informative.
The Flip 7 is smaller than the Flip 6 and has beautiful lines and is very handsome.
It comes with an interchangeable accessories which are a loop and carabiner. I think the carabiner alone would have been enough. The loop alone is not big enough to fit around your wrist or anything at all so I’m not really sure what it could be useful for that the carabiner couldn’t do. They could have made it more useful if it was longer so you could wear it like a purse or use it around your wrist.
The Flip 7 does not come with a charging cable, and I think that is not cool at all.
The directions are easy to read and easy to follow.

Big sound, convenient little speaker

It’s the perfect size that fits in a cup holder, or any pouch designed for a water bottle, and comes with a D-ring so you can attach it to anything. It’s even waterproof. Most importantly, the battery lasts a really long time and I can go several days between charging with daily use. So it’s great for activities on the go and events and adventures outdoors.
It sounds great with a wide and full sounding range, and is very loud for it’s size. I’m easily able to turn it up TOO loud for most settings. The bass is amazingly impressive with these side woofer drivers or diaphragms.. whatever they’re called, they create real, physical bass that you would normally only experience from larger speakers.
The Flip7 is so easy and convenient to use, I find that I end up bringing it everywhere. Even in the shower, ESPECIALLY in the shower!

Great Sound In A Small Package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small speaker packs such a punch. I don't know why I'm surprised. I own a handful of JBL products, but the sound quality makes you think that you are listening to a much larger speaker. This single speaker fills my large backyard with the great sound quality, that I have come to expect.
Even though we have not had summer weather, I took it to the beach, and it sounded great.
I love the interchangeable clip and finger strap. I hope that they come out with a wrist strap, or a bicycle attachment, hint, hint.
The Flip 7 is definitely my new favorite Bluetooth.

Worst battery life ever

Hunk of garbage. The battery last about 2 or 3 hours that's it. Charges like butt cheeks as well. They claim "14hrs" they lied... If I could rate a zero best believe I would . Get an older model when they actually used to make good products or avoid entirely

Thanks for your feedback on our JBL Flip 7. We cannot guarantee that a battery will last 14 hours. The time provided is up to, and how long the battery lasts is determined by volume and source content. The published up-to-playtime is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly, but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Please try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boost, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to-playtime, the battery is working fine. Awesome Portable Speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is a great size to carry around and the interchangable clips make it easy to pick how you want to carry it. Set up was incredibly easy on a samsung android device, it turned the device on and bluetooth on my phone and it popped up, synced, and led me to the app to download. The speaker itself sounds pretty good especially considered its size. It doesnt just get loud and distorted it keeps a solid sound profile through all volumes. This is going to be a home gym and workshop speaker (dustproof helps here) for me replacing a full sized sound bar and giving me the option to move it around.
I would recommend this to a friend!
