Decent sound with great fit and comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a bit of an addiction but I really like testing new buds out to see what is out there and if it can be better than the previous pair. The Vibes did not disappoint in the comfort department. For my small ears, they fit snug and did not cause any discomfort. Which can be a challenge for me. I have had some buds that sound great but just do not feel great in my ears. But the sound was a little disappointing.
What I liked about the buds were first and foremost the fit and comfort. They fit snug and I could easily run with these. Like all JBL products the bass sound shines, giving you that feeling of a deep bas sound. Calls through my phone were clear, and others could hear me just fine. The included app lets you set premade EQ settings or customize your own. Which for me is always a welcome feature on any bud or headphone. There is a sweet spot for me when it comes to music. And being able to adjust to my liking is welcomed. I really like the multi-point connection. Being able to take work calls on my laptop and listen to music from my phone was super neat and easy to setup. Which brings me to connectivity. Pairing with my Windows laptop was quick. As soon as I opened the case, Windows asked if I wanted to connect to the buds. On the other hand, connecting to my iPhone was your typical BT setup. Not painful but not quick. But that's on Apple. The active noise cancelling was actually pretty good. When listening to music I could tell a slight difference in ambient sound. More so when music wasn't playing.
What I didn't like was not seeing the charge of the case in the app. You see the two buds and that was it. I believe the case uses a colored light to indicate charge levels. But as with most USB-C charging, it was really quick. It advertises a 10min charge will give you three hours of music listening. I didn't do an in-depth test of this so can't speak to it. Sound quality was ok, not great. As mentioned above the bas was great if that's what you love. But mids and highs were hard to differentiate from one another. At times I could hear a crackling noise as if they were struggling to play certain sounds in the music. But not noticeable all of the time.

JBL Vibe Beam 2 - Packs a Punch! 🎧🎵🎶🎼💪
on February 21, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] [This review is for the JBL Vibe Beam 2, per agreement with the organizer Bizarre Voice due to a fulfillment issue that sent me this product instead of the original offer/request of JBL Vibe Buds 2.]
These JBL Vibe Beam 2 earbuds are small but offer some great functionality along with decent sound. The case itself is small enough to fit in one's pocket. Here are my thoughts on topics I find important:
SOUND
These didn't sound so great straight out of the box with a flat & balanced sound with barely any bass & very low volume at 50%. Fortunately, this is compatible with the JBL app where you can customize your equalizer preferences to arrive at a decent amount of bass, mids, & treble to fit your liking.
The ANC is functional & does its job but not strong enough to block out public train noise or street traffic.
FIT
I believe these were designed for people with smaller ear canals, as these Beam 2s don't really passively noise isolate for me well, even after I use the size large silicone eartips when I normally fit size medium silicone eartips just fine. Therefore, I need to increase the volume a notch or 2 to drown out my surroundings while at the gym or out cycling. I do like the fit though, as they appear very low profile & not stick out horizontally like *Frankenstein* buds!
BATTERY LIFE
These can run for hours per charge as-advertised, as I've been able to test them to the distance. Thankful for long battery life!
BLUETOOTH CONNECTION
These are great & you can walk away a decent distance from the audio source, even between walls, & still stay connected!
LATENCY
Via the app, there's an option to minimize latency or lag time while watching videos & live content, but this makes me wonder why wouldn't latency already be minimal to none like other earbuds I own straight out of the box. Therefore, there's a fair amount of latency until you adjust the setting in the app.
Overall, these are great mid-tier budget earbuds that don't break the bank. While we all have different sized ears, I feel these will fit people with smaller ear canals for a better passive noise-isolating fit coupled with the ANC function to really block out external noise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New generation of quality sound, sleek look and sophistication. I was quite impressed with the light weight feel of these ear bud's not to metion the matt black finish. The comfort of not having them weigh your earlobes down is awesome. They have great noise canceling fearure and the sound quality is great. This is definitely one of my top choices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I love these earbuds. The size is perfect to fit in my pocket when I dont want to wear them but still have them with me, and easy to pop open and wear. They open easily and close up securely. The sound is very good to be as small as they are. The bass is not the best of the best but very good for some daily use earbuds, and you can tune it more with the app to have it set just where you want it. The case charges super quick and holds the battery for a while. I also like that they have a USB C port so theres no need for a special cable.

Tried the JBL Vibe Beam 2 - Here's My Take
on March 16, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I picked up the JBL Vibe Beam 2 earbuds last week after my old pair finally died on me, and I've gotta say, I'm pretty impressed so far!
The sound quality is definitely a step up from my previous buds. That JBL bass really comes through nicely without overwhelming everything else. Been listening to my workout playlist and you can feel those low notes hit just right. The overall sound is clear and punchy - not audiophile level obviously, but great for everyday listening.
The active noise cancelling is actually better than I expected at this price point. It doesn't completely block out everything like my friend's premium buds, but it does a solid job on my commute blocking out most of the train noise. The Smart Ambient feature is super useful too - I can quickly tap to hear announcements or chat with someone without taking the earbuds out.
Speaking of taps - the touch controls on these are surprisingly good! Each earbud responds really well to taps without me having to aggressively poke at my ears like with my last pair. Left for volume down, right for up, double tap to pause/play, etc. The functionality is great and I haven't had many accidental triggers even during workouts.
Battery life has been impressive - I've been using them for about 3-4 hours a day and only charged the case once in the past week. The quick charge feature saved me once already when I realized they were low before heading to the gym - 10 minutes of charging gave me enough juice for my workout.
The fit is comfortable enough for extended wear. I swapped to the medium-sized tips and they stay put during runs without causing ear fatigue. Got caught in a light rain yesterday and they kept working fine, so the water resistance checks out.
The multi-point connection is a game-changer for me since I switch between my phone and laptop all day. No more disconnecting and reconnecting constantly!
Only minor complaints: the case is a bit bulkier than I'd like in my pocket, and the voice prompts are helpful but occasionally startle me with their volume.

Sound quality is good. Mic with only one earbud in is below average. Earbuds fall out even after changing tip size. Wouldn't purchase again.

We appreciate your feedback about the JBL Vibe Beam 2. To achieve the best seal and secure fit, you must create a tight seal within your ear canal. To do this, angle the ear tip slightly downward to make it easier to insert into your ear canal, gently twist the earbud to fit it securely into the shape of your ear, and continue twisting the earbud into your ear canal. I bought these earbuds with high hopes. I can't get them to stay in my ears for the life of me. Even sitting perfectly still they pop out, so I can't even attempt to use them at the gym. Because they dont fit regardless of what silicone piece is used, the sound quality suffers.
