Excellent projector for the price

It's difficult to find this projector, only a few vendors are selling it. When I saw four of them go on sale at Best Buy, I jumped on it and upgraded from the 2350. There is definitely a big difference in the quality of the picture. The 3800 has much higher contrast and the colors really pop with the brighter lumens and color settings. There are so many options with this projector that you can get lost. The presets are typically pretty good, we use bright Cinema and for the first 200 hours, the projector bulb should be kept on the highest setting to adequately season it and burn it in properly. Even my wife commented how beautiful the picture was. Most of my content on my Plex server is 1080P. I let my Nvidia Shield TV box upscale it to 4K with the built-in AI upscaling features. Then I changed the sharpness to level 5 on the projector, which really brought out the detail in everything that I was seeing on the screen. For this price, you can't go wrong. There are no Focus issues, the zoom lens and the vertical and horizontal lens shifting are terrific. Unfortunately, I'm in a smaller space and can't ceiling mount it. So I have to use quick corner keystone correction. There is a cost to the picture quality for doing this, but it still looks so good that I can't complain at all. Perhaps one day I'll have a dedicated home theater room. The Epson 3800 will be my forever projector as I just can't justify paying more than this when the picture is so good. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a sub $2,000 projector with an amazing picture and extremely versatile setup.
