No support, router won't work , tried for hours to get router to recognize any devices

We're truly sorry for the hours of frustration with your non-functional router and lack of support. This is not the experience we want. Please try a full power cycle (unplug the router and modem for 60 seconds, then plug the modem, then the router). Good firmware, menu etc. Not as "brainy" as openWRT, Things seem straight, reasonable without getting lost in the woods. So far no surprises More security (free) than my old router, big reason I bought.
