pretty good but -1 for initial blasting volume

mainly used as a radio alarm clock, this unit is great and i would buy again but i have a couple of comments and concerns:
as an alarm, the time and volume are configurable, but just
1) powering on to FM the volume mostly always, but not absolutely always blasts out at max 16, is this also configurable? it's a deterrent to just listening to the radio.
2) the 3.5mm jack on the front is AUX in, and not headphone jack, which is slightly disappointing.

Volume issues

As another reviewer mentioned, my Crosely Metro Radio has recently started turning on at full volume. I usually keep the volume at 4 - 5 as my apartment has thin walls and I don't want to disturb my neighbors. But now every time I turn it on it's full volume and I need to be right next to it quickly turn it down. Forget about turning it on late at night with the remote.

Metro radio/CD Great compact unit.

Nice compact unit. I am currently using it as a bluetooth speaker for my TV. It has good sound for its size. I like having multiple features to use in a compact design: radio, CD, bluetooth, and auxillary input. Price seemed right for what we got. I like the USA feature of Crosley too.

Loving the sound

This small sound system was purchased to replace a boom box in which the CD player gave up the ghost. Our house is small so the best place for it is to reside on the kitchen countertop. The look is sleek and modern and the sound quality is surprisingly good. However the manual is not as clearly written as it should be and because of that the setup was not as easy as it should have been. The clock offers military hours and we gave up trying to change it back to 12 AM and 12 PM instead of 12 AM and 24 PM. It seems you must use both the remote and the buttons on the player to operate it, which I find a little confusing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the look of this unit. You can use as an alarm clock and have the CD of your choice to wake you up. Sound quality to me is great. I wish it was a bit smaller, but otherwise I am happy.
