No to battery, LTE and missing data field.

Please note that this review is given in relation to my prior Fenix 7 an my use (where the 8 pro might be a little overkill)
The battery life time to me is a complete disaster - with the Fenix 7 I had approximately 14 days of battery with the display, if not always on with light, then at least with the data visible in daylight. To me it’s really annoying and distracting that the screen turns on and off all the time. So now I only have 6 days of battery with the data always visible. I see this as a massive downgrade and misleading from Garmin!
On of the data fields i used the most on Fenix 7 was the daily active calorie burn - i used it as and indicator for my activity level throughout the day in relation to my body battery and step count. It’s really disappointing that Garmin has removed it!
The LTE FEATURES has absolutely zero value for me, since it’s only possible to communicate through Garmin’s own app.

I only gave four stars because I’m too excited to find out what the fifth star will reveal. The screen is over the top the buttons feel fantastic.

No real upgrade from Fênix 7 Pro. Battery is not upgraded. Issue of missing active calories that it measured but then disappear especially around sleep time. So, not impressed

Great watch, very versatile!

Got my first Garmin watch 2 weeks ago and I love it!! I really like the phone connection that I can take a call on it. Also like the weight lifting/ exercise program that I use on it. Recommend it!

Fantastic multisport watch with better legibility

I had the Epix 2nd gen for 4 years; loved the watch and used it for run/bike/swim/triathlon. I also used it daily for sleep score and I appreciated the alerts functionality. The battery life is truly exceptional. The watch is very handsome as well; looks great as a "business casual" watch, it doesn't look like sports equipment. I replaced it with the fenix 8 pro; it is a fantastic upgrade with all of the great attributes mentioned with the Epix. It is incredible to me how the outside case of both watches is 47mm but the screen size of the Fenix looks substantially larger. The display is brighter and the larger/adjustable font sizes, especially in swim mode are really helpful for my near-sightedness. The new flashlight is truly bright and useful as well.

Great watch, great features.

Received the fenix 8 pro as a gift to upgrade my fenix 5. I love the new watch and continue to learn how to use it. I use it mountain biking, while skiing and for golf. Love being able use my wireless headphones with just the watch and leave my phone behind while biking.

SOS doesnt function

The SOS function doesnt work because it wont connect to satelite even with a clear view of a cloudless sky right near town...this was the main reason I got the watch
