Family Card Night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love family game nights and have been wanting to try Phase10 for awhile. This set is a get set to have for family game night. My older kids understand the game easier than my younger kids but overall is worth it for a fun card game.

Fun card game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This card game is a lot of fun. It took some time to learn how to play but once we figured it out my child loved to play it. It holds his interest and he enjoys playing. We are able go sit down for a nice amount of time and play together. It helps him understand grouping items in different ways.

Lots of fun for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this and it was the perfect thing for the whole family to play. It is for ages 7 and up. We were excited to receive this because we did not already have it. We played a few games with everyone (kids and adults). My 11 year old was able to keep up with the rules and it was lots of fun! We will definitely be playing this more.

Fun card game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun card game. Cards are of good quality. Played at family our game night this week. Took a little while to figure out the rules but once we did we had a good time with it. My youngest won so he was very happy with it😂

Family game night just got even better!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game has been a hit with my family. The rules did seem complicated at first, but it just took actually playing through a couple rounds and referencing them when we weren’t sure what to do to understand how the game progresses. My husband had played Phase 10 before and liked the new twist of being able to complete the phases in whichever order you choose after looking at your hand each round. Each round every player is given 10 cards and gets to look at them and decide which one of the “10 phases” they think they have the best shot of completing. Phases vary from getting 3-4 of a certain number, getting short runs, longer runs, or a combination of matching number cards and runs. There is also one phase where you try to get 7 of the same colored cards. There are wild cards and skip cards among the 1-12 numbered cards as well. The object of each round is to complete your phase and play all of your cards first. Any cards that remain in your hand if an opponent goes out first are worth points varying from 5 points to 25 points! (depending on the card). In this game you don’t want to have points. The first player to complete all 10 phases (in any order) wins the game. The points only really matter in the case that more than one player completes all 10 phases the same round. In that case, the tie is broken with the player who has the least amount of points declared as the winner.
When playing with our younger kids, we have made the game more “even” by requiring the adults to play the phases in order and only allowing the kids to pick which phase works best with their particular hand. All in all, my family has really enjoyed this game. My only complaint is that it isn’t a super quick game, but if you have the time, it is one of my kids new favorites and is worth the time!

A step up from the original!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like how in this version of phase ten it adds color coding to expand and create individual phases per each players chosen color. Avid players of the original game, we’re enjoying this version immensely! The storage box is also nice and sturdy, and the instructions easy to follow.

Fun and challenging game

We love board games and card games and this one has really challenged our skills (math and matching) and is family friendly! It also begins to introduce beginner poker skills. We are a family of 4 with a 6 and 10 year old and everyone is feeling challenged and this is a great change from playing other card games! Was a fun new game for Christmas Eve!
