I bought my mohu a while ago I live in a valley 40 miles from the city. And I can only pick up a few channels despite alot of other transmitters being within 50 miles that I can't pick up which is due to the terrain of my area and not so much the antenna. Well until recently I just had this antenna set up in my 3rd floor attic at the very peak and up against the wall on the north side towards the transmitters. Well I have a goal of getting a few more channels, one of which I will pick up when the weather is just right (bad weather is actually better than clear skies). So today I decided to mount it outside basically in the same location just mounted on the outside expecting to get a better signal..well..it got worse! I actually lost a channel. So I'm curious what my next move should be. I'm thinking about getting a 10 foot long 1 inch steel pipe to stick the antenna 10 feet above my 40 foot tall house maybe that will help..idk tomorrow is the Superbowl and I currently can't pick up CBS so I might jump on that tomorrow.. hahaha

I am a woman retired for 11 years. I read the reviews and all are true. I was a technician for MA BELL in my other life. I put the 2' antenna mounted on the back porch and it picked up 45 free Channels. I am 60 miles SW of Dallas. I am so glad to not have to buy free tv channels. Yea to Mohu.

Great Product

This antenna has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to assemble, light weight, and picks up all over-the-air channels allowable in my area. I've had it now for over 2 years. What amazed me the most is it survived Hurricane Michael (a Cat 4/5 hurricane). I wish I could upload the picture of it still attached to my damaged roof. Once my power was restored, first thing I turned on was the tv and there were all my channels. It was so nice to be able to watch the news and some sports during this difficult time. Thank you for making such a wonderful product!!

The amplified version of the Mohu, in our location, does not work any better than the original Mohu antenna from 2011 which we still use. It's great to Cut The Cord, but we still have very limited channel selection and pixelated pictures on most of the others, no matter how we position the antenna. We scanned the available channels that the antenna could receive, which was an impressive number, however, the ones we could actually receive with clarity are about 6-7 channels (No Fox, No CBS, No ABC).

Hi Steve! With your shorter distance to the broadcast towers, you may not need an amplified antenna at all. In most cases an amplifier isn’t necessary unless TV signals in your area are low power, or you have longer cable runs to multiple TV. This could explain why the non-amplified antenna is working the same. It is also important to remember to place the antenna as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception, and re-scan for channels each time the antenna is moved to a different location. Mohu® Sail Amplified Indoor/Outdoor HDTV Antenna

This is a very good antenna. My previous digital antenna did not allow many channels maybe 20-25, I live in a remote area in Southeastern Michigan roughly 40-50 mile to the nearest tower. I am currently getting 66 channels, also receiving CBC out of Canada which I did not get on previous antenna, but had when I had an analog antenna and TV. I recommend this antenna highly. Price was also good. Two things I did not like was 1 the cable was not long enough to read my signal splitter (had to use exiting cable to connect. and 2. it came in the original box without being covered so everyone could see what was coming and if I lived in a highly populated neighborhood and was not home to receive, it is very visible what is in the box that would have been left on my porch. Other than that five stars. *****

Excellent antenna

I've had this antenna for about 7 years now. It works great, over 100 channels, received from more than 60 miles away. I live in Orlando Florida and pickup Tampa and Melbourne antennas. I tried the amplifier 3 times and it always went bad. Instead I moved the antenna higher now I don't need the amplifier. Highly recommended

Mohu Leafs are very good indoor antennas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very good indoor antennas, at least for me. I live in Bloomington MN, which is about 25 miles from the broadcast towers which broadcast the main Minneapolis local major network channels here. I get a lot of channels. Sometimes, I have to move the antenna around to get a certain channel at a certain time. Sometimes it can get some pixelization depending prob on weather. These small inconveniences are worth the Enormous amount of money this saves me every year. I do live in a third floor apt which may help, not sure. Anyway, I will NEVER pay for cable again! Thank you, Mohu!!!
