Draining External Batteries with in 48 hours!

I bought 3 of the new Tactacam 3.0 Pro's and all 3 worked for maybe 24 hours and completely drained my external Tactacam solar panels and a HME 12-volt battery with attached solar panel. I'm running 14 Tactacam cameras some 1st generation and 2.0 I tell all my hunting buddies that these are the best cameras on the market. But after purchasing the 3 of the new 3.0s I don't believe they did their R&D on these. Literally pieces of garbage. They had better have a fix for the battery drain for these shortly. So long story short, I'm returning the 3.0s and buying more 2.0 Pros. Fail mark for Tactacam 3.0 up here in Alberta, Canada

Not worth the Headache

I bought 2 reveal tactacam’s in May ‘24 when they were originally released. I have had a terrible time with them. They have ruined SD cards by making the files unreadable. So you will have to buy new cards and go out and change them out. The battery life is abhorrent. 4 trips to replace batteries since buying them both. They do not connect to cell service correctly and won’t send all the photos, let alone videos. I have discussed this and all my issues with tactacam multiple times and have not been able to come to a solution on fixing them. They simply will not stand behind their product. I have 6 total cameras. These 3.0’s will be the last Tactacams I ever buy

Good deal

Picked this up when they went on sale. Installed camera this past weekend in a remote Alaska location. Area has weak cell service; generally 1 bar reliably. Camera was able to connect and has been working great so far. Will update with battery life using alkaline batteries. Debating upgrade to solar / lithium kit. Temps here will easily dip to -40°F.
Note: When app shows no cell connection or n/a. This does not mean that Camera does not have connectivity. It actually means that cell is not currently being utilized. Hybrid mode puts cell module to sleep when not needed to transmit photo in order to save battery life. This could be made more clear in the instructions. I moved camera a few times until I realized what was going on.

Good camera but it eats batteries. Put 12 Duracell gold top in it. It's been 3 weeks and its down to 30% already.

Reveal Knocked it Out of the Park! Love my Pro 3.0

Honestly, I don't even know where to start here. This camera simply has and does it ALL! The features built into the camera are superb! The built in LCD display make setup super easy. it walks you through step by step how to add the camera to your plan in your Reveal App. It lets you make sure you have the exact photo angle you need and want. The camera and its integrated sim card self selects the best cellular network in your area. The camera has built in memory but also allows a SD card for removeable storage. The camera has the ability to do firmware updates from your app over the cellular network! The camera has GPS location built in for the superb mapping features in the Reveal App. The built in antenna is a very nice feature also.
Do yourself a favor and get the Xtra Pro plan in your Reveal app to get mapping features like you'd see on leading hunting map apps on your phone. You can also take your nighttime photos and colorize them with the TactaColor feature. This is a super cool feature!
