Good but not as good as it used to be

Verified Purchase:Yes
I bought these as archive USB discs for my family digital photo album. I on purpose bought this model because I have an older version of this disc and it has lasted a very long time and is solid. This new version does is not as solid as the old version. Where the metal jacket attaches will not be as durable; it is more buttoned on rather than seamless as previously. This new model is more likely to come undone over time and therefore will not last as long.

Hello Ivan,

Our website states that the DT Kyson advertisements of 60MB/s are for capacities between 128GB and 512GB. The speeds for the 64GB version can be different. We apologize for any confusion. Also, transferring a single large file to a USB device is usually faster because the data is written in a continuous line, which is called sequential performance. Transferring many small files is slower because the device has to stop and start for each file, which is called random performance.

I just used this for a little over a month until it decided to make every procedure as painfully sluggish as possible (I'm talking 100 kB/s transfer speed). DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY OF THE KINGSTON PRODUCTS!!!

Much slower than declared. Copying large file (100GB+), after several GB speed drops to 12,6MB/s on avg. Tested on 2 different machines.
