I read a lot of bad reviews of many generators including this one before I made my purchase. First of all, the price is great, the quality of the unit is superior to units of even higher price. It all works as advertised. I was the envy of the campsite having not to come out of my trailer in the morning to start the generator by using the remote to have my hot coffee and toast. I carefully read the owners manual and followed all the steps, including not overfilling the oil or the gas, using premium fuel, and noting the time between starts. I would start up the generator to run for 15 min and charge up everything before quiet time (11pm). This gave me plenty of time for the remote to still function in the morning (12 hour window before the remote start battery disengages (saving battery power). And every morning it fired up quickly. The only cons I have are: I wish it were lighter, I wish it was silent, and I was surprised that it took 5 or 10 seconds before the output power came on. Don't get me wrong, the first two items this machine competes with the market best.

Bought this as a backup generator. Was very surprised to how quiet it was ( bonus ) like the features the display has. Would highly recommend this generator for home or RV use. Get the wheel kit ( sold separately ) also

My Firman generator starts right up with the remote, runs quiet and is very simple to use. All in a nice compact unit, best generator for the money on the market today.

We bought this to power our RV. Seems to be well made and I like the wheels and handle for mobility. Test run at the house with no problems and confident it will when it counts.

Had a long power outrage. Wheeled the generator to the house and powered my fridge and a neighbour's for hours. Remote start came in handy.

Very good on gas. Excellent performance. But the noice level is way to high for an inverter. I mean waaay to high. I am actually building a quiet box for it. The instructions on how to change the oil are not helpfull. This is a very good machine but the noice it really boders me.
Pros: Good on gas.
Cons: Loud noice.
