This review was required within 14 days of purchase to activate the lifetime warranty.
Opened and inspected for damage:
Checked the top and the plastic cover around the sides for any cracks then carefully turned over onto a carpeted floor and checked the bottom cover, especially around the suction feet (some reviews noted damage there). My unit did not show damage.

The bottom plate has manufactured finger grip areas that are to be used when moving the machine, not the plastic side cover.
Then I used scotch tape to capture and remove some small styrofoam crumbs from the bottom and sides to prevent them from later entering the motor cavity.
Did the first session while sitting in chair with legs on machine using the default session. Noticed very slight smell when activated for the first time, similar to what is expected for any new motorized device. Second session done on a different day while standing.
Out of the box, everything seems fine. Need more time to fully evaluate.
