I bought my charge 4 while living abroad and gave it to my dad when moving back abroad. He loved it so much so gave in and said I’d upgrade to the bigger brother. Love my Xtreme 3!

Disappointed

Returning. I wanted to love this speaker but I was disappointed with the sound quality and volume. You have to listen to it at 3/4 volume to get any performance at all from it, even inside, and even at full volume it’s not that loud. It’s just ok, definitely not what I was expecting at this price point. I have smaller (much cheaper) BT speakers that can perform almost as well, and similar priced BT speakers that have better sound quality. I thought this speaker would be a good mix of both quality and volume, but it’s not. At full volume it’s ok, but obviously the battery life is then diminished, which was another factor for me.

I like to play my music relatively loud, and when I turn this all the way up, there’s a little distortion and it’s still not loud enough.

We also recommend trying to connect it with a different device or play audio using a different application. You may also try doing a Factory Reset by pressing and holding the volume up (+) and pause/play buttons for 5 to 6 seconds. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.

I took advantage of Black Friday to buy a customized JBL Xtreme 3 Bluetooth speaker. Its product quality and sound quality are excellent. The customized image is very finely made, colorful and clear. They helped me create a commemorative speaker that is unique in the world and belongs to me. Its sound quality is clear and the bass is powerful, and it can perfectly present various electronic music. When it plays multi-instrument background music, I can feel the 3D sound effects and hear the layering of the instruments. But when it plays pure piano classical music, the rendering effect of the atmosphere is very ordinary, and listening to it for a long time will cause my hearing fatigue. The only thing worth complaining about is the APP "JBL Portable". It doesn't support turning the speaker on and off remotely. This makes me very distressed. I hope JBL will upgrade their APP. Although this speaker still has room for improvement, I think it is still the king of portable Bluetooth speakers of its type.

Customized speaker for the win!

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He was super excited and loved the customization. The quality of sound, the level of volume, and the ability to paint multiple JBL speakers together is fantastic. To quote, "this is bumpin'!".

I bought it 20 days ago and I also loved having the bombbox and the clip3, they are all excellent. I am a fan of JBL for their quality products and the sound is spectacular.
