It's best to keep both speakers within 5 meters range from each other. Wireless devices nearby like routers may also introduce interference. We're always looking for ways to improve. I never thought that I would be disappointed with a JBL / Harmon product ( I have many) but the Extreme3 isn't what I expected. I have the original Extreme and it really kicks a full range, bass heavy sound, but I wanted a little more power for my rooftop parties so I ordered the 3 thinking it would be the same but better (100watts as opposed to 60watts). However it seems to have more mid-range and actually less bass then the original, with less high range. It's also slightly muddier whereas the the original is crisp and clear. Definitely better battery life though. I am returning it for a BoomBox3 which hopefully should do the trick.

What great sound!!

I received a week ago and have only used once but man, what a great speaker. I took it to my gym after hours for a workout with my daughter and it filled the gym with better sound than the built in system. My 18 year old daughter immediately claimed the speaker as her own. I may need to buy another as I’m pretty sure this thing is off to college with her soon. :)

I ordered this speaker last week, I just received it, I've had it for only 2 days, and Love It! Worth every dollar. The technology behind All JBL products is Incredible. I own the(550 Live) headphones and JUST purchased the new Flip 6 today. The Extreme 3 is Extremely powerful and delivers clear, clean vocals, deep bass, and is compatible with the JBL APP, offering an EQ. If you want 'The One', this IS it.

at low/mid vol level, coukdnt really tell the difference between my flip 4.. until i cranked it a bit higher… whoa, the clarity and the bass kicks in! I’d love to push it to almost max, but don’t wanna blow it either!

The speaker sounds great but in comparison to the Extreme 1 I was expecting for it to be way louder and more bass. The bass seems to be lower on this model than the Extreme 1, my prior speaker.
