Poor Bass and Overall

Really weak and underwhelming subwoofer. Same output as the 5.1 unit i.e. 300W. A reap off for sound enthusiasts looking for powerful sound systems. Hi-Fi systems are miles better Weak extension speakers as well. I have to hold them to my ear to confirm they are on

Good Product But

I wishThis soundbar is tremendous I like a lot. The reason why I do not give it 5 stars is that the instructions are extremely loose or weak, too small letters. I would have liked them to take more time to redo them and explain them in detail since not all of us are technicians or sound specialists.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great when it works...

Great sounds but I keep having troubles with sound cutting off with no reasons (display shows trying to connect to DD++) and a few time boozing noise came up and didn't go away until the bar is stopped for few hours. This is very sad situation that others reported and It's not even a month old...

Here are some things to try that often fix these issues. Update your JBL Bar 9.1 with the latest firmware. Turn off or unplug all wireless devices at home, which includes routers, and anything else that runs on 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Try Resetting the unit to its factory default settings by turning on your JBL BAR 9.1 Surround. Press and hold the POWER and SOURCE button for 3 seconds. Your device is now reset. Great but not omg

Bought this and I liked it . Took a little while to get the hang of it . Still to me it's not 9.1 . It sounds like a 5.1 . Music is awesome . Movies are like a 7.5/10. Surround sound speakers cut out sometimes. The longer you use them the more frequent it happens . Also the surround speakers don't charge while the soundbar is on . Has to be in standby .

Great Sounds but super annoying

Overall great sound, but super annoying having to always reset every week. And it always keeps disconnecting from google home and need to reset wifi all the time. I'm just giving it a month trial after trying to upgrade the firmware if that would fix that. Or else I'd need take it back to the store I got it from. I would have rate 5 star, but definitely giving a 1 due to the great sound.

Solid sound, but disappointing lack of controls

I am frankly disappointed with the performance of this product. I am a huge JBL fan and have bought many speakers and always been pleased with them. The bass is pretty solid after break in, but does cut out at high volume. The overall sound has a have a lot of power and is pretty crisp and loud. The controls and surround are disappointing. There are only 3 sound settings you can control including Atmos (up firing sound), removable speaker surround level (off, low, medium, high), and bass. When watching sports or car racing, the surround sound (both connected to the bar or put at the back of the room) make it difficult to hear the announcer audio. One workaround I found is to disconnect the removable speakers from the bar and turn the surround off. I personally don't like the sound from the removable speakers with them disconnected. and placed at the back of the room. My Polk soundbar that the JBL replaced, had voice enhancement levels you could choose from to make the voice audio louder as desired. The JBl needs more controls to adjust sound. For the price of this unit, I don't think it delivers the value and features it should.
