Boombox 3 - Beast of a speaker!

Purchased for. Local retain chain, for use mostly outside on a farm. Needless to say I'm very impressed with the quality of bass and treble at higher volumes and even at the distance I am from the speaker at any given time. The boom box 3 is very sturdy and very well built. I've only cycled the battery one time so far, I did find out that I can charge something from the USB plug on the back while the speaker itself is plugged in charging. That definitely cuts down on cord clutter!

Horrible Bluetooth connection

The Bluetooth connection cuts out continuously. Tried playing speaker with several different phones and had the same problem.

Thanks for your feedback. Bluetooth will perform well for up to 30 feet. However, walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can impede that 30-foot range. If it works well at 10 feet or less, it is likely that there is something interfering with your wireless Bluetooth signal, causing these dropouts. Another possibility is that sometimes a Bluetooth connection can become corrupt. Try to forget/unpair the speaker on your device, then perform manual pairing. Next is reset, turn on the speaker, then press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off and reboot to factory default. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. If the issue remains, please contact us.

Great Sound, Dtrong Bass, Bulky When Carrying

The treble is crisp, the bass is deep and punchy and there is so much sound coming from a medium sized boombox. Battery life is also amazing. The only drawback in my opinion is that it's bulky/awkward when carrying. Built in strap attachment poibts would have been amazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was SUPER excited to have the opportunity to try this speaker. I've purchased 2 JBL speakers in the past and they never disappointed. I immediately tried it out once I received it. Connecting it to my phone was quick and simple. The quality of the sound and the base is AMAZING. I also connected it to my TV to use as a sound bar and it was an absolute game changer. The sound is so crisp and clear. This product definitely exceeded my expectations. It is loud enough for you to bring to a cook out, party or to the beach. It is a very durable speaker, one thing I have to note is that it is kind of heavy. I dont plan on carrying it around so I dont mind. It has a very sleek design and not bulky at all. I've also tested out the function to charge my phone. Definitely something convenient to have as someone at a party always has a dead phone. Battery life on this is great, since I am not running it 24 hours one charge does last me almost a week depending on how frequent I use it. Overall I think that this is a great investment for those who are looking into getting a portable speaker.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Boombox 3 is a beast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off this thing gets loud, like really loud. But it also still sounds very good at those higher volumes. The speaker has very good highs and good mid range but it does lack a little when it comes to the low end bass. Still most music I have listened to has sounded great. Podcasts and audio books have also sounded great.
The battery life is also extremely impressive. I have been using this everyday for well over a week for a couple of hours at a time and the battery light is still full. I have only charged this on the first day that I received it. Add in the fact that it can be used as a battery bank for your phone and you have a speaker that will last quite a while. The battery life of the speaker is said to be up to 24 hours depending on the music playback. I can honestly believe it. I have been using it at 35% to 50% max volume, listening to music, podcasts and an audio book.
The JBL Portable app has been a nice addition and something I am used to with JBL's headphones but this is my first speaker with app support. While it isn't a game changer it is an easy way to check your battery life plus it has a 3 band EQ.
Currently all my testing has been in the house, though I can't wait to take this out soon. So far I am incredibly happy with it and if I had to give a negative about the product it would be that party boost only works with the new line of speakers. I would love to use this with some of my older speakers but I also understand that technology evolves and sometimes you have to drop support of older devices.

Great unit all around

After I purchased the Sony XG500, I returned it due to the sound and looked at a Boombox 2 at the store, They didn't have any available so I went searching for the Boombox 3, I am so glad I did.
I'm really pleased, not only with the bass (the Sony had good bass too) but the highs and mids were equally impressive and didn't get drowned out by the incredible bass of this unit.

It gets quite loud but luckily doesn't lose much quality at the higher volume levels.
I wish they got the app better, it needs a battery percentage rather than a bar and the graphic eq doesn't really do much.
Overall, I like the design, it feels super sturdy, looks great and performs even better. Yes, it's pricey comparative to others on the market, but I'm still happy.

Picked this up at Bust Buy and the sound quality is second to none. Crisp highs, punchy mids, deep lows, and you can hear every single detail. Podcasts sound amazing, and doubles as a portable soundbar for movies. I spent hours watching/reading reviews before I bought it, and there really is nothing on the market that can beat the engineering and quality that went into the Boombox3.
I own a Partybox 310 too, however the Boombox 3 sounds better overall. I noticed lower tones on the Boombox that even my much louder Partybox cannot pick up, thanks to that new sub-woofer and dedicated driver. The mid/high range sounds WAY clearer on the Boombox 3 as well.
There is one downside, is that the same battery is used for all 3 Boombox models. Since the BB3 is pushing more wattage, it's surprising they chose to use the same battery. Would like to see that upgraded in the next Boombox model. My Boombox 2 lasts longer than the Boombox 3 and I've had that for almost 5 years.
